HAMPTON CHORAL SOCIETY

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
We are delighted that we have been able to resume CHOIR REHEARSALS - albeit by Zoom for the time being.  We are hoping to be able to meet under more human conditions before too long but in the meantime we are continuing to work on our revised schedule of concerts.  These will, naturally, be subject to government restrictions at the time.
Our next outing - hopefully - will be our CHRISTMAS CONCERT on 5 December when we will be singing John Rutter's Requiem alongside a programme of carols.  Next year we are still planning a COME AND SING workshop on 13 March, featuring Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man, and our re- rescheduled summer concert of the Mozart and Handel  CORONATION ANTHEMS will be on 15 May. Next year's winter concert in December 2021 will feature the Fauré and Duruflé Requiems and, in July 2022, we are excited to be collaborating with Chiswick Choral Society on favourite works by Finzi and Vaughan Williams.  See our FUTURE CONCERTS page for further details of all of these.

HCS is a friendly amateur choir which is non-auditioned and performs around the area of Hampton, Middlesex. We have about 90 members and our repertoire is largely oratorio and other classical works. The choir gives two or three formal concerts per year, often with professional orchestra and soloists. Our Musical Director, Richard Harker, is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, and believes that rehearsals should be fun. They are!
Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays from 7.45pm to 9.30pm at Teddington Methodist Church, just opposite Teddington Hospital. The season runs from September through to June. If you are interested in joining, please drop in or contact us here.
Hampton Choral Society is a registered charity, number 261788.
